El WikiPad disponible a partir del 11 de Junio en EE.UU y durante el verano en el resto de mercados

Bueno, parece que finalmente traemos buenas noticias en los interesados en la consola/tablet con Android WikiPad. La semana pasada el dispositivo pasaba por las manos de la FCC lo que hacía presagiar que su lanzamiento estaría muy cercano. Finalmente, ese “cercano” ya tiene fecha oficial en los EE.UU. al que después seguirá el lanzamiento en el resto del mundo.

El Wikipad se ha retrasado en un par de ocasiones para su rediseño, primero el tablet paso de un tamaño de 10″ a uno de 7″ y después, de un procesador dual-core a uno de cuatro núcleos. En cuanto al hardware, el WikiPad traerá un panel de 7 ” IPS, 16 GB de almacenamiento interno, ranura para tarjetas MicroSD, chipset Tegra 3 y por supuesto, los controles físicos extraíbles a cada lado del tablet.

El precio del WikiPad será de 249$ y estará disponible para los consumidores de EE.UU. a partir del 11 de junio mientras que su lanzamiento para el resto de los mercados se sitúa a lo largo del verano de este año 2013.

The Wikipad is the only tablet to possess both the unique combination of a console quality gaming experience with the functionality and portability of a tablet thanks to its award-winning and patented detachable dual-analog controller. Wikipad offers a multi capacitive 7 inch touch screen, 16 GB memory with an additional micro SD slot to support a further 32 GB of storage, together with micro USB, GPS, accelerometer and gyroscope.
